Musical Life Skills
is a fun, engaging and inspirational assembly program. In his 45 minute
presentation, Arthur Lee Land masterfully engages students with his
musical expertise and enthusiasm for life. Through dynamic performances,
demonstrations and audience participation, students learn that melody,
harmony and rhythm not only make great music, but are also key elements
that make great life skills. Combining the manifold flavors of West
African percussion, funky electric bass, soulful vocals and masterful
guitar leads, Arthur Lee Land’s unusual one-man "Afrograss"
Folk Rock Ensemble seamlessly utilizes "loop" (live recording)
technology to create a soundscape that fills the stage – and unleashes
the audience’s imagination. As a responsible, successful and highly
creative adult with A.D.H.D., Arthur also offers special insight,
inspiration and appreciation for students with A.D.D. by bringing
attention to positive role models and by presenting fresh views on the
strengths of this population.
