Arthur Lee Land is a talented recording artist, singer/songwriter, nationally touring performer, record producer, multi-instrumentalist, teacher and an expert in "The Art of Live-Looping."

Arthur utilizes digital sound processing technology (live looping) to create a full band sound by layering African percussion, bass, acoustic & electric guitars, guitar synth, vocals and talk box. Integrating diverse instrumental sounds and musical styles, Arthur lays down as many as 32 tracks—all live—to create his unique "One-Man Afrograss Folk Rock Ensemble."

As a successful, responsible and creative adult who was diagnosed early in life with A.D.H.D., Arthurs performances are an inspiring example of the A.D.D. mind fully engaged in a dynamic multi-tasking environment.

THE ART OF LIVE LOOPING:
A MUSIC & TECHNOLOGY CLINIC (Grade 6–ADULT)

Understanding the process of live-looping actually changes the way students hear music, and enables them to distinguish various instruments and syncopations inside a complex multi-layered composition.

This program is highly entertaining and interactive for everyone, musicians and non-musicians alike. It is a perfect vehicle to teach how the elements of music (melody, rhythm, harmony and timbre) interact and work together to create songs. Learn how Arthur combines traditional instruments and emerging technologies to create an entire one-man band. Students also participate in improvised song creation and build their own loops.

MUSICAL LIFE SKILLS (K–8TH GRADE)
In this fun and innovative character education assembly, students learn that harmony and listening are not only keys to making great music, but are also essential life skills in the classroom, at home and in the world. And, an engaging highlight is where Arthur creates a song looping sounds from everyday objects that students bring.

This program is interactive and reinforces the concepts of respect, social diversity, making healthy choices, and teamwork using music as an example. For Red Ribbon Assemblies, Arthur can share his inspiration for choosing to lead an alcohol, drug and smoke-free life.

Because Arthur’s program is so unique and visual, we encourage you to watch the streaming video online at www.arthurleeland.com to learn more.
